Austin and Karsen had a fun weekend with Grandma and Papa Beneker while Josh and I were at work. They got to help grandma choose different types of apples at the orchard for grandma's library project. Before that, they had soccer games and had a big cheering section: Grandma and Papa Beneker, Keith, Amy, and Luke, and Ken and Erin (and me). They both played very well and all the relatives had fun at the games and then Pizza Hut. Luke enjoyed his dairy-free tortilla and peanut butter while the rest of us filled up on pizza.

Yesterday when the kids got home after church they cheered on the Colts (yay for the win, also yay for a big win for Brett Favre/Vikings).

Today it was back to school. Austin was thrilled to have a 100% on his first Social Studies test of the year and also on his spelling test from last week. Karsen had an assessment with Miss Beth and reported that Miss Beth said, "Good girl" when she was finished. She had a playdate at the Milligan's house with Graham after school and then we had Cub Scouts this evening. I will know not to bring fresh fruit cups for the snack anymore, there was a lot of complaining about healthy food and no chocolate. Oh well, I enjoyed some of the leftovers when we returned home. The boys worked on their salute, motto, pledge, law of the pack, and handshake to earn their Bobcat badges this evening. Austin already has this from last year, so it was kind of a repeat for him but it was a good review.

And finally, a picture of Karsen who was randomly wearing her swimming dog's goggles around the house today.

I'm pretty sure she doesn't realize they are on upside-down!
Congratulations to both Austin and Karsen for their good work in school. Karsen's goggles look just as cute upside down and rightside up!
