Pies in the face and popcorn!

The Cub scouts had an exciting kickoff to their fall popcorn sale/fundraiser last night. We had to watch the video and pass out all of the fundraising material, and some other "housekeeping" issues at the meeting, so as an incentive for the boys to be well behaved and pay attention, the boys in attendance were given the opportunity to throw a "pie" (pie plate FULL of whipped cream) into their den leader Mark's face at the end. What fun!
Here is Austin's throw--he made sure it didn't miss! Mark was nervous for Austin's turn because he has a "baseball arm." Andrew and Collin (Mark's sons) also made their pies count!
Each boy got a chance to try on the corn cob hat before it was given as a door prize. They were all jealous of the winner, but Austin won his own door prize, a compass, which he was very glad to receive.
So now, we will go forth and sell popcorn!

  1. these pictures are hilarious! i love the action shot. hopefully, the corn cob hat hasn't made austin change his mind about his halloween costume with all the thought he has put into ways to get it beneath the price limit.

  2. Katie - look for the Halloween costume post coming up closer to Halloween. We found a Jango Fett (Star Wars) costume for Austin that works for everyone, good price for Josh and I and AWESOMENESS for Austin. Yay for Amazon Super Saver deals :)
