Rummaging

The kids had a great time this morning at the neighborhood rummage sale. We didn't put anything out, but many of our neighbors have older children and so Austin and Karsen found some treasures that they reclaimed for their own. Austin found many Pokemon items, including several baggies of cards and a little tote, and Karsen found a Prince for her Barbies, and a doggie purse, and an old Pound Puppy tote with three Pound Puppies in it (I remember those from the 80's)...the Pound Puppies were especially a bargain because the three stuffed dogs and the doghouse tote were altogether 10 cents.
Austin had his last day of school Monday so we have been swimming a couple of days at Papaw Jay and Grandma Hall's pool. Austin went to a friend's to play one day while Karsen had her first eye checkup. 20/20 for right now.
Austin also had a baseball game last night and played all of the infield positions, and played 3rd base twice. NO OUTFIELD (which he hates, there is not much Rookie League action in the outfield). His defense has improved so much and he seems more comfortable in the field. He had his best hit ever, also last night, it was kind of a long line drive and we were so excited for him.
Since I get to go in to work late tonight (have to use up some of those PDO hours) we are getting to spend a nice afternoon together and will go to their cousin Taylor's 8th birthday party later this afternoon. We're all enjoying the deck on the front of our house that Josh and Jay finished last week.
